Welcome to ART IS ALIVE FILM FESTIVAL - LOS ANGELES
I have had great success by running my Art is Alive Film Festival in New York City these last two years, and now wish to spread my artistic accolades to other locations. I was fortunate enough to find a location that wishes to host another film festival in 2018, hence, the creation of Art is Alive - Los Angeles was formulated. I am currently accepting submissions from now until September 1, 2018. Notifications of acceptance will be sent out September 4, 2018, and the festival itself will be conducted from September 28-30, 2018.
"My intent with this festival is simple: bring art alive again. I spent a span of two years covering film festivals as a member of the media, I began to discover that the main motivation for many of these events was not the movies. Because I am a leader and not one who lags, I took it upon myself to produce a platform whereby art would once again come alive. Less celebrity and red carpets; more about honoring the czars of independent cinema. Give filmmakers and fans a chance to mesh and make dreams happen. Show worthy work by astounding artisans. Lastly, help them to create more film through offering them more exposure and the essential - money." - Cindy Mich, Founder
And in two years, I have managed to do the following: network filmmakers with actors, writers and producers so as to create more work. Offer filmmakers exposure to an audience, attention in the media, and also reward them with monetary accolades to make more movies.
This year in Los Angeles, we will screen 25 films, host one celebrity event, one industry panel on gaining distribution in mass markets, as well as live music!
